Cautionary Points on Classical Education
from The Generations Radio Program · host Generations

Here are some cautionary notes concerning classical education. The reintroduction of Greek humanism into the universities in the 1300s killed the faith once. Then again, the right-wing and left-wing enlightenment turned back to the Greeks in the 1700s—killing the Protestant faith. The same thing is happening today with a return to a humanistic epistemology and ethic. Bottom line, there isn’t nearly enough careful worldview discernment . . . among those classical teachers who have had their training in liberal arts from public schools, non-discerning Christian schools, and left-wing Christian liberal arts colleges.
