No capital threshold was set for institutional investors.Securities regulators also released disclosure regulations for the new bourse, seeking public comments. The regulations concern issuance of shares, refinancing and supervision. The CSRC said that the regulations are designed to highlight the characteristics of the Beijing Stock Exchange serving innovative small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).Earlier this month, President Xi Jinping announced plans to set up a third national stock exchange in Beijing.
