I’m Stephanie LI.大家好，我是主持人李莹亮。Coming up on today’s program.重点提要 -10 newly-listed stocks in Beijing’s new stock exchange skyrocketed in the bourse’s debut;-Northeastern Dalian city enters “a critical stage of epidemic prevention and control” as its Covid-19 tally hit 235 as of yesterday.Here’s what you need to know about China in the past 24 hours 中国经济要闻The new Beijing Stock Exchange (BSE) has officially kick-started today with quite an impressive debut.Ten newly-listed companies had to suspend trading twice in the first 30 minutes, as some have seen their prices shooting up by more than 60 percent. According to BSE’s rules, the daily price fluctuation is set at 30 percent and no limit will be set on the first trading day. But trading will be suspended for 10 minutes if the company's price is up by 30 percent and paused for another 10 minutes when prices hit the 60-percent mark. 10 new stocks have triggered trading suspension.Among the first batch of 81 companies listed on the new bourse, nearly 60 companies reported gains in the first 10 minutes. The newly-traded Henan Tongxin Chuandong, a leading Chinese auto parts provider, saw its price soared by nearly 400 percent in the first few trading minutes. All of the 10 new stocks have doubled their prices in closing. Individual investors holding at least 500,000 yuan worth of assets in their personal securities accounts will be allowed to trade on the exchange. BSE estimated that the number of qualified investors will exceed 4 million. The BSE, which is seen nurturing more technologically advanced small and medium-sized enterprises, has been initiated by the central regulators in early September. Epidemic prevention and control in Dalian has entered a critical stage, Chinese Vice Premier Sun Chunlan said during her inspection in the city amid a COVID-19 surge that recorded 100 new confirmed cases in the past two days. Auto parts and food and drinks sectors led the gains, while MetaVerse continued to jump. The Shanghai Composite went down 0.16 percent, and the Shenzhen Component closed 0.47 percent lower.
