CC023: The Historical Case for the Resurrection of Jesus (Part 1 of 5)

from Capturing Christianity Podcast · host Cameron Bertuzzi

Did you know that Christianity is true? No, I mean like it’s actually true. It’s not just something that people believe. You know, I say that a lot, but today on the podcast we’re going to prove that. The next five episodes feature a discussion between myself, Dr. Calum Miller, and Dr. Max Baker-Hytch on the historical case for the Resurrection of Jesus. Dr. Miller has been on the podcast before. He and I discussed the prior probability of the Resurrection. Super interesting exchange of ideas on that one, please go give it a listen if you haven’t. Dr. Miller graduated from the University of Oxford in 2015 with degrees in Medical Sciences (Neuroscience) and Medicine & Surgery. He’s currently teaching Ethics and Philosophy of Religion at the University of Oxford. Dr. Baker-Hytch is actually new to the show. In 2010 he received his Masters in Ethics, Religion and Society from the University of Exeter and later went on to receive a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Oxford. Both of these guys are extremely intelligent and also well-versed in the evidence for the Resurrection. In Part 5 we talk about a book they’ve written together on the subject. My producer, Sawyer Hudson, was telling me that this was his favorite podcast series we’ve done so far. I’m so stoked for you guys to hear it. I pray that it encourages and edifies.
