CC026: The Historical Case for the Resurrection of Jesus (Part 4 of 5)

from Capturing Christianity Podcast · host Cameron Bertuzzi

This is the fourth episode of a five-part podcast series on the historical case for Jesus’ resurrection. In this series I’m joined by Dr.’s Calum Miller and Max Baker-Hytch, both of whom are well qualified to speak on the subject. Dr. Miller has been on the podcast before. He and I discussed the prior probability of the Resurrection. Super interesting exchange of ideas on that one, please go give it a listen if you haven’t. Dr. Miller graduated from the University of Oxford in 2015 with degrees in Medical Sciences (Neuroscience) and Medicine & Surgery. He’s currently teaching Ethics and Philosophy of Religion at the University of Oxford. Dr. Baker-Hytch is actually new to the show. In 2010 he received his Masters in Ethics, Religion and Society from the University of Exeter and later went on to receive a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Oxford. Both of these guys are extremely intelligent and also well-versed in the evidence for the Resurrection. In Part 5 we talk about a book they’ve written together on the subject. Part 4 starts a discussion about the various explanations on offer for the historical facts surrounding Jesus’ resurrection.
