Cecconi Out, Aleman In Amid Roster Shuffle | Cleveland Guardians News

Slade Cecconi’s bullpen debut ended in disaster—and now he’s on the injured list with right arm fatigue. After a brutal 0-inning, 4-run outing, he alerted staff to forearm pain and was shut down ahead of his next start. The Guardians recalled Franco Aleman from Triple-A to fill his spot—marking Aleman’s third stint with the team this year and his first major league call-up since being optioned just days prior. Meanwhile, Aleman juggles the excitement of impending fatherhood with the pressure of stepping into a high-stakes role. With roster churn continuing across the organization, the Guardians are navigating the season’s relentless pace—one injury, one recall, one whirlwind at a time.
