Cecilia Silvestri and the concept of GLocal

Ceci Silvestri is a marine biologist and policy advisor for the Italian ministry of the environment. She has extensive experience in negotiating and implementing international pollution monitoring and control programs across the Mediterranean sea, including the sensitive topics of fisheries and marine litter. We still have a long way to go on women's rights. 40 million people are under slave conditions in the world and they are almost all women. We lack good indicators to measure if countries are moving forward towards the goals in strick and broader contexts.
