The Dallas Cowboys secured CeeDee Lamb to a four-year contract extension worth $136 million ($100 million guaranteed), a person familiar with the deal told The Dallas Morning News on Monday; in other news, President Richard C. Benson, who oversaw dramatic advances at the University of Texas at Dallas, is the latest leader to announce his upcoming departure as higher education in the state comes under increased scrutiny. Officials at the University of Texas at Dallas announced Monday that Benson will step down when the UT System board finds his successor, likely by the end of this academic year.
