Cele : There's been a decrease in serious crimes

SAfm — Police Minister Bheki Cele says there's been a decrease in serious crimes. He says incidents of murder, rape, assault, hijackings, business and house robberies have gone down compared to the same time last year. Murder cases have dropped from 326 to 94; rape cases from 699 to 101; cases of assault with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm dropped from 2 673 to 456; and business and house robberies dropped from 8 853 to 2 098.
