This industry is so interesting and fun, but most people focus on the fun part and there’s very little material out there about the actual process that occurs behind the scenes of this business, like how to start and build a company in the construction industry. That's why I started writing my book, ‘The Business of Building’.  I don’t think of myself as a builder, I’m more of an entrepreneur, someone who enjoys the business part of things, thew deal making, putting things together and building them, as opposed to other technical, more creative, and perhaps more artistic participants in this industry. Not all entrepreneurs are the same: Mission, objectives, the reasoning behind entering the career of entrepreneurship. But there are others that are very similar and necessary to succeed in the world of entrepreneurship: Discipline, consistency, repetition, persistence, having that itch or desire to always move forward, curiosity, being able to handle risk, tolerating a lot of pressure, and being able to handle uncertainty. When I’ve seen better results in my career and on my journey in the different experiences and businesses that I’ve started and built, is when I try to go and think beyond the financial aspects of the business. When I find the why and the mission, the logic and understanding of what I’m doing what I’m doing.
