Se convirtió en una de las voces más reconocidas en la isla en el ámbito musical, en cuya obra destacó las raíces campesinas y la influencia de las religiones africanas. Con Reutilio Domínguez, compañero en la vida y en el arte, componen un número insignia del dúo: "A Santa Bárbara", conocido también como "Que viva Changó".

The treasure map is discovered and the young fellows find that pirate gold may be found but that it is another matter to safely retain
