According to corrections officers’ logs, Epstein was found in his cell in a fetal position, barely responsive, with orange fabric tied around his neck. He initially told officers he believed Tartaglione attacked him, alleging threats and pressure to pay up, fear of violence because of his charges, and that Tartaglione had been harassing him.
