Cemetery Heist in Spokane | Spokane News

A Spokane cemetery got hit when Travis Batt, 44, broke into a mausoleum, stole a gold crucifix and wallet from a niche—and later admitted to taking a rosary too. Found with the loot in his truck at a library, he’s now locked up on a $1K bond for felony theft after cops matched his fingerprints to the crime scene. The stolen items were returned to the family, but this isn’t the first cemetery theft this year—back in March, an urn vanished from another local cemetery before being mysteriously returned.
