Centralia

Episode 6: Slice of the Paranormal investigates the Ghost Town of Centralia, Pennsylvania. The town destroyed by a mine fire and the inspiration for the video game "Silent Hill". We walked its empty streets and explored the folklore of the site. Ghosts of long dead miners are said to appear out of the smoke and fog, was the town cursed by a Minister who derided the Molly Maguires? We also take a tour into a nearby mine in Ashland, Pennsylvania. The Pioneer Coal Tunnel Mine https://www.pioneertunnel.com offers tours in the mine and a steam engine ride outside the mountain. We were given a tour by a Molly Maguires descendant, whose ancestor was portrayed by Sean Connery in the Molly Maguire movie.
