Certain Point of View: The Hero's Journey of Luke Skywalker

One of the primary influences on the Star Wars Original Trilogy were the works of mythologist Joseph Campbell. While studying the myths of various cultures throughout the world, Professor Campbell discovered that many of these stories shared many elements. He then devised what has come to be known as the "hero's journey". The story of Luke Skywalker corresponds quite well to the steps laid out by this proposed journey. Join with me as we discuss.
