Cessation (feat. LunaTrick)
from EZamor Hosted by EZamor
Vocals and cello by Daniel Staniforth Acoustic guitar by Yemen Auf Al-Rawi "The song is a lament of an innocent woman being taken to the block (or the guillotine)... but becomes a greater lament for people and their spectator cruelty." - Daniel Staniforth She's waiting for the axe to finally fall She wonders if there's anything at all Beyond her, or is it just an empty dream? She's failing while whispers turn to screams Body Undone Mind all gone Cessation Cessation They're laughing, she stumbles to the ground She winces because her hands are bound What purpose does this all achieve? Will time find the heart to grieve? Remind us of our Cruelty? What nonsense, these notions of Eternity Voyeurs on the great divide Delight in this homicide Despite her innocence in being here Paupers and peddlers of empty fear Divine, haloed in the Sunlight And brave, head held fast and eyes bright Depraved, the crowd roars its mad amusement And time, time demands its punishment Cessation Cessation Lyrics © 2009 by Daniel Staniforth
