from The Lion Rampant Publishing · host The Lion Rampant Publishing

Artist: Treasurefruit Album: Poisonous Dwellers of the Desert Notes: Recorded at The Scratchin' Post Studios in Scottsdale, AZ www.treasurefruit.com Debut release from Phoenix Southwestern Psych Rock quartet Treasurefruit. 10 sultry songs recorded live on an 8-track reel-to-reel tape machine and mixed by hand in real time on a 1970's desk. Sweet garnishes of the wurly and backing vox added later. Truly a labor of love. Please enjoy. MORE.. Phoenix-based "desert noir" alternative rock band Treasurefruit elegantly weaves psychedelic blues, western swing, and hints of latin jazz into moonlit dreamscapes of the Great Southwest. Fronted by singer/songwriter Anamieke Quinn and guitarist extraordinaire Matt Ventre, Treasurefruit is noted for majestic melody lines and effortless delivery. Lyrically-driven songs explore fleeting moments with passionate vocal performances over unexpected chord structures and surprisingly jazzy grooves, courtesy of drummer Ehren Stonner. Treasurefruit was recently named one of the “Top Ten Female-Fronted Bands in Phoenix” by the Phoenix New Times, and Quinn was the recipient of the annual Songbird Award by Yab Yum Music and Arts. "Maybe it’s Quinn’s sultry, seductive vocal talent that provides a sense of warmth and luxury." - Mitchell Hillman, Java Magazine, January 2016 "Poisonous Dwellers of the Desert fuses sultry with Sonoran for a bluesy, psychedelic sound uniquely suited to the dark bars of our dusty cities. And through it all is Anamieke’s singular vocal stylings as they move from playful and kittenish (“Giddy Up”) to pensive (“This Point in Time”) to heart-wrenching (“Burn Much Brighter”)." - Yab Yum Music and Arts, January 2016 "The entire band is in top form here and keep in mind it's only the beginning of a fantastic album." - Mitchell Hillman, Phoenix New Times, March 2016 Now available at Amoeba Music in Hollywood, CA and Stinkweeds Records in Phoenix, AZ anamieke quinn - vocals, guitar, wurlitzer matt ventre - guitar brenden mcbride - bass, backing vocals ehren stonner - drums additional backing vocals provided by sara mcallister (tracks 2, 7, 8 and 9) all songs written by anamieke quinn copyright 2015 the lion rampant publishing, all rights reserved
