He emphasizes the importance of including the notion of power in our thinking about open societies and discusses the significance of media studies at CEU.Monroe Price is an Adjunct Full Professor at the Annenberg School for Communication, and Professor of Law at the Cardozo School of Law. He has published essential and widely influential research in international communications studies and policy analysis in various contexts. Besides major theoretical contributions such as the enabling environment for free and independent media and the concept of global market for loyalties, he also published on memory and information intervention in Bosnia-Herzegovina; on the making of state media policy in Iraq; and on global civil society and the Beijing Olympics, just to mention a few.
