Ch. 23 p.200-205 The Memoirs of President Joseph Smith lll

Apologies for not being able to pronounce Mr Frelinghuysen! The points that struck me from this episode was alcohol. There were discusses as to whether alcohol should be banned. Joseph Smith lll said instead of banning it, let people be educated in it instead. Another note was the safe in the herald offices had been robbed by Lawrence Conover who was the secretary of the Board of Publication. Another note was a vote to try to stop converted people associated with poligamy from entering the USA, and Joseph Smith's lll efforts to ensure the rejection not to impeach upon the non poligamous Reorganised Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
