Subheadings:- First Conference in Kirtland, and Incidents of Summer. Here we hear of the renovation of the Kirtland Temple and its use for services. It will be noted that its use has not been countered in the temples built and designed under Brigham Young's father in law Truman Angel (or similar name, who was an architect by trade), and the activities within its building different from those in the Utah lds church. Joseph Smith lll is pleased to share that his uncle William B Smith was in attendance. He shares of the service and acoustics making singing and music playing sounding good. On a sadder note, his daughter Zaide died as a young mother leaving 3 small children.
