This episode relates to Joseph Smith lll's 3rd wife Ada Rachel Clark, how he met her, how he proposed and the marriage and greeting of his family and reception of her upon return to Liberty Hall and of his feelings. He in the previous chapter and this one, speaks of his love for his first wife of 12 years, and of the companionship of his 2nd wife of 27 years. With his 3rd wife he felt similar love as meeting his first wife. Ada Rachel went on to bear 3 sons. They move from Lamoni to Independence in 1906.
