Send us Fan MailCha Cha ChangesEpisode 35“The only thing that is constant is change” HeraclitusWe wanted to talk about change today, in episode 29 we talked about the 4 “C’s” of change: courage, no compromise, commitment and coachability.  We found this great article on change from thedailypositive.com and thought it was worth talking about.  It is “12 Reasons Why You Should Seek and Embrace Change”1.     Education:  Change allows you to learn new things that you wouldn’t normally have learned with the old ways.  Learning should be a life-long process, not an end result or destination.  Change can put things in a new perspective and help you learn, not only about new things, but also about yourself.2.     Adaptability: With change comes more change and as you embrace change, you become more adaptable and flexible.  Resistance to change can also cause unnecessary stress and blind us from the good.3.     Opportunities and Possibilities: Change opens door and makes things possible.  When you accept changes in your life, you can have transformations and breakthroughs that you may have missed if you were too busy staying in your own way.4.     Improvement: “Improvement is impossible without change” If you are always staying the same, you will never be able to be anything different.   Seeking and embracing change allows for progress in your life.5.     Greatness:  “Good” gets in the way of great.  When you are comfortable with your life, you are less likely to embrace changes that could make it great!6.     Courage: The more you push out of your comfort zone, the more courage you gain.  You are able to overcome fears that hold you back or hold you in a stagnant place.7.     Resilience and Grit: When we accept change, we become more resilient and resilience makes us stronger and more capable of dealing with life’s troubles. Listen to Episode 3 “Sucker Punch” to learn more about resilience.8.     Appreciate Failure and Enjoy Success: When you embrace change is allows you to be ok with change, whether it is positive or negative.  Success anxiety is real and can hold you back just as much as fear of failure.  When we learn to accept ALL change, we can avoid self-sabotaging that happens when we aren’t used to the change.9.     Allows you to be proactive: When you accept the change, you gain the control over it.  You are no longer a victim controlled by the outside world, you are responsible for yourself and your life.  You can even be the cause of changes in your life without fear.10.  Life becomes more interesting: Think about the hero story, nobody wants to hear about good days running into other good days without much meaning.  They want to hear about overcoming obstacles and embracing new challenges.  Be the hero in your own life!11.  Change can improve your relationships: Embracing and experiencing change can make you more open-minded and empathetic, this can improve your relationships.12.  You’re more likely to follow through on your goals: Even is we have goals and want to reach them, we may still be resistant to change.  If we embrace change, we are more likely to reach our goals and strive for more. Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTuElM6T50wSupport the show
