Trigger warning - this episode contains references to themes of gender identity, sexual assault, and suicidal ideation, which some individuals may find distressing.Today’s guest is someone we’ve had the honor to have on our stage as a speaker for Wonder Women Tech, and she is an award-winning trans activist and Top Voice in highlighting the challenges and policies affecting trans humans and trans rights. Celia Sandhya Daniels is a healthcare management consultant who educates, empowers, and advocates for transgender and gender-diverse individuals in the corporate world, public sector, and academic and medical institutions through her "Bathroom to Boardroom" advocacy. As an Asian Indian trans woman born and raised in a conservative family in southern India, she writes and speaks passionately about the struggles and challenges she faced in her family, work, and community in the United States and India.She has built an ecosystem of alliances with local businesses, police departments, therapists, doctors, churches, and civil rights organizations in the US and India to educate them about bullying, transgender violence, discrimination, healthcare policies, and economic empowerment.Celia is recognized as one of the Top 20 LGBTQ+ leaders in Biopharma and the Top 10 LGBTQ+ Voices on LinkedIn in the US and Canada.
