Škola chana njeguje poseban odnos prema prirodi koji je vidljiv i u tekstovima i poeziji drevnih majstora chana.Taj odnos se temelji na slobodi od iluzije o zasebnom postojanju, posljedica je dubokog uvida u nerazdruživost vlastitog postojanja s postojanjem svega ostalog oko nas. To nije antropocentrično gledište koje čovjeka postavlja iznad prirode i uslijed kojeg smo se našli u suvremenoj klimatskoj i ekološkoj krizi.
