Chanel Surviving domestic violence

Chanel survived years of horrific domestic abuse. She knows how hard it is to leave an abuser but she also knows that your life depends on it. She dedicates herself to help other women and men who are still caught in the grips of domestic violence daily and she knows people who have lost their lives because they did not get out of the relationship fast enough. There are stages to the healing process that need to happen even after you separate yourself from the relationship and it can take a long long time to heal. Chanel shares her story about what she lived though and how when she woke up in the hospital with her face shredded by glass barely clinging on to her life, she knew she needed to get out and get to a safe place. She wants everyone who is a victim of domestic violence to speak out, do not try and hold it in and do not try and do everything on your own. Seek help, there are people just like Chanel who want to help you. Sometimes the hardest part is just asking for help and admitting to ourselves that we need to change.
