How did this happen?Maggie: Sorry. We overestimated the sales volume of this quarter and accumulated too many inventories. Obviously, our new marketing strategy didn't work well so that the sales volume would be very difficult to meet our target.Hunter: What could we do to deal with this situation?Maggie: In order to reduce the stock, I suggest that we could have a sale. The goods will finally expire if we don't get rid of the them soon. At that time, we will lose all their value. Additionally, this case reminds me that we should change our frequency of placing orders. Purchasing by quarter may be too long for us to do the quantity estimation, however, purchasing by month would be much better and much more flexible.Hunter: Ok, sounds sensible. Please prepare the sales promotion plan and send it to me today. We are in a very tight schedule now, what we could do is to do our best to minimize the losses.
