CHANGE MUST COME (9/25/2022 message) Part 1

Taken from a message given on September 25, 2022PLEASE read the following PRIOR TO listening to part 1 and part 2 of this messageCRITICAL NOTE: This message very directly addresses my concerns with the need for the right changes that must be made in our individual lives in order for us to be fully saved AND in our churches in order for us to continue moving towards restoration - and wrong changes that have been made (wrong additions or subtractions) that must be corrected at some point. On the latter issue, this touches on the creation of canon laws and customs regarding our doctrinal teaching, order, operations, and standards and why I strongly believe we must base ALL that we teach and require on the Scripture (whether on its precepts, principles, or described practices) OR we may end up following the same path the Roman church did as it fell away - one of the key actions that led to that falling away being the church claiming that it could create its own laws and requirements that were equal in authority and necessity to those found in the Bible. This message is NOT a repudiation of any particular teaching, practice, or standard (I have NOT changed in any way on the beliefs I have held for decades regarding standards, for example). It is intended as a general note of concern regarding the addition of extra-biblical and counter-biblical teaching and practices, and why our "ancient landmarks" and foundational teaching can ONLY be traced back to the truly ancient source that is the Scripture - not to later additions. If there is ANY question regarding the purpose or tone of this message, I will readily explain it in more detail - simply contact me.
