Interestingly, John lived many years and witnessed the destruction of Jerusalem, during which time most Christians had already fled at the Lord's warning and were preserved because they heeded His words. Joseph emphasizes that God always provides a way of escape in times of trouble, and when we follow His guidance, we can experience abundant life. He illustrates this with John's remarkable survival after being boiled in hot oil; John's deep belief in God's love for him enabled him to endure and thrive in adversity.  In conclusion, Joseph reassures us that as followers of Christ, we will undoubtedly face persecution, but like John, we can overcome it by holding on to God's love for us.
