In Episode 7, we feature Youth Changemaker Joanne Choi, founder of Music for Memory—a Philanthropy Tank program that brings young musicians into memory care facilities to support seniors with dementia through the healing power of music. The program aims to enhance memory, spark cognitive engagement, reduce feelings of isolation, and build meaningful intergenerational connections.Through Philanthropy Tank, students create year‑round programs that solve a challenge in our community. Through the process of creating a program, pitching it to philanthropist investors and mentors, and implementing the program, students learn many transferable professional skills and impact the community.Launched in July 2024, Music for Memory has continued performing across Palm Beach County, spreading joy, warmth, and companionship through live musical engagement.
