Changemaking, Taboos, and True Liberation from Within with Madiha Bee and Ehab Hamarneh

from Eros & Earth with Megan Lambert · host Megan D Lambert

This week, I'm doing an interview from a couples' retreat on the beach in Bali with my friends and fellow changemakers, Madiha Bee and Ehab Marneh. Madiha coaches Arab women to reclaim their sacred feminine power and step into leadership in their communities, while Ehab teaches people to embody their truest selves and become enlightened leaders.  This episode will touch on many of the challenges the two have faced in their coaching careers advocating for change and challenging cultural taboos, particularly in the Middle East. We discuss how they each approach criticism from the public, their peers and families, and even within themselves. We'll also discuss the taboos of challenging deep-seated cultural norms, reframe how other cultures view one another critically, and how to design your own reality to become truly liberated. We'll leave you with new perspectives to ponder, and the question, "How can you contribute to the change you want to see in the world while trusting your intuition and inner wisdom?
