Entered through PortalCurrent TimeThere are times in our lives when we just need to stop and change direction.I just did that.Not because I was on the wrong path or wanted something different.I changed the direction because I learned something about the mechanics of the flow of content in my universe. That discovery left me no other choice but to test it myself on my own content.Time will tell if it was a genius decision or a useless one.Over the last few years, I published content in the same way. My routine process started with an idea, went through writing about it, and ended with a podcast.I never put much thought into why that flow stuck with me, but if I had to guess, it probably connected to the new tools that flooded my feeds across social media. Some tools stayed with me while others didn’t, and the ones that survived created a structure that lasts.Looking back, that was the evolution of how I create content. Once the creation process is done and all forms of content are released to the world, they are out of my hands. From that point, I’m handing my content to the internet and all the systems out there to process it.In this episode, I changed the direction of my content creation and started with the podcast first. I let NotebookLM lead the way by giving it the accumulated evidence of The Liat Show and asking it to explore what it sees.The podcast conversation came first. Only after listening to it several times and digesting it did I write this text.That sounds like a simple reversal of just changing the direction, but I do not think it is. It’s not like taking the second exit instead of the first one at a roundabout, or taking the highway, which is faster than the side roads, which are longer but let you enjoy the view.Changing the direction of my process is moving from a linear process to a recursive one. In a linear process, an output leaves the system. In a recursive process, the output can return as a new input.Mathematically, the universe does not return to the same point. Each rotation begins with the structure accumulated by the previous cycle. So the way I imagined it in my head is not a circle. It is a U-turn upward into a spiral.Since the direction changed, the previous output becomes part of the next input. Each revolution can return to the same questions from a different state of the system.This episode is the second turn.Now we watch what happens when its output enters the universe it just described.Technically, so far, my current process ends with a podcast because I’m still developing the last part of that process, since I want it to end with a video. In my imagination, I’m in a temporary phase until I launch the TV show carrying my own name.In the first episodes, I’ll play myself while casting the actress who will eventually play me. Writing, podcasting, video, and television can express the work differently while carrying forward recognizable relationships, ways of thinking, and creative characteristics from the accumulated body of work.What is The Liat Show capable of generating through this structure?The structure can carry existing relationships forward as new material enters, allowing each addition to interact with what is already present and create further relationships across the accumulated body of work. In the reconstruction presented in this episode, that generative capacity was identified in explicit intellectual property and business terms.
