Changing "hearts and minds" over LGBT rights through stamps

from Rocio Franco · host Rocio Franco

The beauty and power of postage stamps are an ideal vehicle for changing "hearts and minds" over lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender rights. That's the very heart-felt view of the designer behind the release on Thursday of six new UN stamps, as part of the UN Free & Equal campaign. Sergio Baradat is the full-time designer at the UN Postal Administration, and part of the LGBT community himself. He sat down with Rocio Franco, who asked him to explain why the campaign had turned to the old technology of a postage stamp.
