Changing the Question

Jesus changes the question from “Who is my neighbor?” to “What does it mean to be a neighbor?” To illustrate the difference between these two questions Jesus tells the parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37). Jesus calls us to live by the latter question and to thus, be merciful.
