Changing trends in tobacco-related cancers

from Newstalk Weekend

According to a report published earlier this week by the National Cancer Registry Ireland (NCRI), almost ten people every day in Ireland are being diagnosed with a tobacco-related cancer. Also highlighted was that smoking remains a major driver of cancer in Ireland, with more than 3,750 cancer cases directly caused by tobacco use in 2022. Joining Anton to discuss is Dr Celia O'Hare, Aspire fellow in public health medicine, and lead author of the NCRI report & Prof. John Crown, Consultant Medical Oncologist at St Vincent's Medical Group.
