Chanta Rose Is a native of Queens, New York who have always taken a helping handrole in the community. As a young child she witnessed countless occasions whereher mother, Essie Mae King provided assistance to family, friends and strangers.Whether it was food, clothing or money to assist with their bills, she never thoughttwice when it came to doing her part to help. That type of personality has rubbed offon her. You know the Bible says, that the fruit never falls far from the tree and she isliving proof of that.Chanta attended Art and Design School in Manhattan and attended La Guardia andQueens College in New York. She held an Assistant Teacher position with the NewYork Board of Education for five years in education and working with special needschildren. For two years she counseled children at the YMCA. After her motherpassed in 1994 she moved to Georgia and worked for the Gwinnett County Board ofEducation. She became a member of Benefield Elementary Parent Advisory BoardCommittee and School Council. She is a participant of the Gwinnett ParentLeadership Academy, Gwinnett Tourism Specialist and she is a Georgia Real EstateAgent.Chanta 39;s faith in God has provided her the insight and determination to provideassistance to families and neighborhoods continuously. Chanta is in the process ofestablishing an Academy and Youth Center. She believes that everything is " In GodHands " therefore there is nothing impossible for her. MISTAwas made up of members Darryl Allen, Bobby V.
