Chap Charlie
from Kings and Queens in Quarantine Hosted by Kayla Gagnon
This week I welcomed into the virtual studio Chap Charlie from St. Paul, Minnesota. They are a non-binary person and performer, and Minnesota’s most eclectic drag king. We talked about their experience as a non-binary drag performer, as well as how they have been translating their stage performances to an online setting. EDIT: Since the recording of this episode, Chap has taken a step back from drag. They said: "I haven’t been performing as Chap since the protests began and I’m still assessing if there is a place for another white king in the scene." Instead of tipping, they'd like people to donate to the organizations listed in this link: https://secure.everyaction.com/zae4prEeKESHBy0MKXTIcQ2 Follow Chap Charlie- @chapcharliemn
