Honeycutt’s back to back home runs - on two consecutive pitches - spanning Friday and Saturday night’s games led the Diamond Heels, while a total team effort from Scott Forbes’s squad closed a magical season in Boshamer Stadium. Matt Poston and Dalton Pence both shut down West Virginia’s offense in critical late moments of both games to help the Heels advance to the school’s first CWS appearance since 2018.
