Chapter 65 Episode 6

from Gvuros HaShem

Rabbi Shulman continues unpacking *Hallel HaGadol* (Tehillim 136) through the lens of the Maharal, showing how its sequence is a guided descent from Hashem’s transcendent governance—mediated through distinct classes of מלאכים—down into the created physical order of שמים וארץ and their details. He explains why “לעושה נפלאות גדולות לבדו” is placed before the description of the heavens: miracles flow from realms beyond the physical. Finally, Rabbi Shulman frames the transition from creation to יציאת מצרים as the “tenth,” sanctified stage—because the emergence of כלל ישראל is itself a completion of מעשה בראשית, giving the world its purpose. Tanach Study Tanach Study Tanach Study is an initiative to promote the independent study of the books of Tanach‎ (Torah, Neviim and Ketuvim) through a web-based platform and weekly class. Our program aims to provide the Jewish community with immediate access to Torah knowledge in the form of a daily e-mail/podcast to complete and understand Neviim and Ketuvim in just 3 years. Tanach Study hopes to broaden Torah learning, to increase knowledge of our Jewish history, heighten our Yirat Shamayim, Ahavat Hashem, and strengthen our personal as well as our national identity. Machshavah Lab Rabbi Matt Schneeweiss My name is Rabbi Matt Schneeweiss. My goal as a Torah educator is not merely to teach my students my OWN hashkafah. Rather, my goal is to equip them with the foundations, the methodological training, and the tools which will enable them to arrive at their OWN understanding of Judaism and cultivate their OWN relationship with Hashem and His Torah. This podcast is devoted to the shiurim I give which are geared specifically towards that end. As such, the range of topics covered here will be diverse. There will be shiurim on Jewish philosophy, Chumash methodology, aggadic midrashim, maybe even some non-Jewish philosophy as well. Merriam-Webster defines "laboratory" as a place providing opportunity for experimentation, observation, or practice in a field of study. I call this podcast "Machshavah Lab" because this is where we will conduct Torah "experiments" by exploring questions, texts, and ideas in an effort to develop our machshavah in a "hands on," exploratory, firsthand manner. Understanding the Sefiros Rabbi Yossi Michalowicz Understand the Mystical Sefiros and their relevance in developing a deeper relationship with Hashem & Mitzva observance. This series is based on the Sefer "Da'as HaSefiros" which incorporates the teachings of Rabbi Reuven Shlosberg (Jerusalem) which explain the conduct of hashem and recognizing our own human spiritual essence.
