The Snohomish Storytellers are thrilled to welcome their first "guest from the audience", Malcolm Bates. Mac was introduced to the podcast by his wife and reached out to us to share his stories directly - we love it! A retired Snohomish School district teacher, former city councilman, mountaineer, author, and current Carnegie Foundation member, Mac shares his first hand experience of growing up in Snohomish in the 50's and 60's. Hear stories about downtown Snohomish through the eyes of an inner child; 50 cent matinees, setting pins at bowling alleys, hiking up to midtown, and why you could find everything you needed on First Street.
