Chapter Break with Mary Ann Noe

from Midwest Writers Room · host Luella and Ken

Bio: After earning Bachelor and Master’s degrees, Mary Ann Noe spent 29 years in Waukesha classrooms, first teaching 7th grade language arts and social studies, followed by high school English and psychology.  Upon retirement, she joined a writing workshop where she reinvented herself as an author.  Mary Ann publishes novels through Black Rose Writing.  Her non-fiction essays and poetry are in numerous print and online magazines.  She spends time reading anything she can get her hands on, writing, and baking (and eating the results).  Happily enjoying their grandchildren, she and her husband reside in Wisconsin, where she watches with dismay as the deer eat the flowers in the garden. "There's a framework of non-fiction upon which I hang all the fictional and fun details." - Mary AnnSynopsis: In late-1930s Europe, not everyone is aware of what the future holds–certain war.  In Prague, however, Jaroslav Blaschka is desperate to get the family’s wealth away.  In New York, Lynn Fontanne and Alfred Lunt set out on their annual trek to Paris.  As these three lives come closer together, they are all pulled into Hitler’s maelstrom.  The Lunts help fulfill Jaroslav’s wishes, while he disappears back into the turbulence of World War II.    Moving from Czechoslovakia, Germany, France, England, New York City, and, ultimately, to the Lunts’ Wisconsin home, Lynn and Alfred must face a final showdown with Hitler’s henchmen, while hoping Jaroslav has also survived.LINKS:www.maryannnoe.comhttps://www.tenchimneys.org/
