CHAPTER TWO By the gifts’ perfecting—Eph. 4:11-13. No longer being little children—v. 14:Tossed by waves. Carried about by every wind of teaching:In the sleight of men. In craftiness with a view to a system of error. But holding to truth in love—v. 15a:God’s New Testament economy—God’s eternal plan. The all-inclusive Christ. The church as the Body of Christ expressing Christ. Growing up into the Head, Christ, in all things—v. 15b:Being subject to the Head, Christ. Allowing Christ’s divine life to expand and increase into all of our inward parts. Out from the Head, all the Body causes the growth of the Body of Christ—v. 16a:Through every joint of the rich supply—all the particular gifts in the Body of Christ. Through the operation in the measure of each one part—every member in the Body of Christ. All the Body fitted and knit together—practically being built up together. The Body of Christ building itself up in love—v. 16b:In love. A direct building. WLEE
