Chapters 9-15 - Pride & Prejudice

You learn all kinds of things reading books. The quadrille is a dance requiring 8 people. So when Mr. Collin's said he'd been asked to make up a pool of quadrille, it means there were 7 people and they needed him to raise the number to 8 so the dance could take place.
