Charismatic Legalism: When We Confusing Convictions With Commandments
from The Remnant Radio's Podcast · host The Remnant Radio
Charismatic Legalism: When We Confusing Convictions With Commandments In this episode of The Remnant Radio Michael, Michael and Josh are covering the Charismatic convictions that exist within the charismatic movement. Is it wrong to watch Harry Potter or Pokemon? Are there hidden cultic images in the toco bell logo or the monster energy drink can? Can we, or should we give our money to organizations like Target, Disney, and Starbucks if they promote antichristian values? Can a Christian enjoy a beer? Some may think these convictions are silly, others may find the reasons for these convictions compelling, but what does the word of God say? Fortunately for us, there are both principles in the scriptures and commands in the scriptures that can guide us through discerning if these convictions are personal or universal. We need to realize that every single culture reads scripture with its own cultural mores. Charismatics are no more guilty of confusing their own code of ethics with the ethics of the Bible, than any other denomination or movement with Christianity. That being said, we are a charismatic theology podcast, and it's probably a good thing for us to want to talk this stuff out.
