Drawing profound inspiration from clouds, trees, landscapes, and ephemeral moments in nature, he translates these transient elements into sculptural forms that invite deep contemplation and active viewer participation. This meticulous workflow typically spanning four to five months includes resin printing, lost-wax casting, expert fabrication, and extensive hand-finishing, often in close collaboration with a specialist foundry in Beijing to ensure exceptional craftsmanship. All of his works are thoughtfully designed for scalability, from intimate limited-edition tabletop pieces to monumental installations suitable for private homes, luxury hotels, residential developments, and public spaces.His early explorations around 2024 were primarily in patinated bronze, laying a strong foundation with pieces such as Cupola (patinated bronze on a slate base), which reimagines landscape forms through gentle curves and intersecting lines, alongside Verus and Murmuration. These bronze works established his affinity for natural motifs before he transitioned more fully into stainless steel, where the emphasis shifted toward reflection, interaction, and technical sophistication.In his most recent output from 2025–2026, Haynes has produced a compelling series of mirrored stainless steel sculptures that demonstrate his growing maturity and ambition. Dancing Figures (2025) stands out as a dynamic cast stainless steel work featuring four rhythmic, interacting figures with smooth, flowing lines and highly reflective surfaces that capture light and surroundings with vibrant energy; inspired by his earliest sketches and refined through numerous iterations, it was released in a limited edition (including Edition 1 of 9), highlighting its collectible value and lively sense of movement.106 Nature’s Treasure (2026), prominently showcased on his official website, continues this exploration of natural themes in polished mirrored stainless steel. Perhaps his most resonant recent achievement is Sky Trees (2026), a polished mirrored stainless steel sculpture in a limited edition of nine (67 cm high, with scalable options for larger commissions). This piece poetically explores the relationship between the sculptural canopy of trees and the infinite expanse of the sky; deeply inspired by his home landscape specifically Willie Howe Barrow, a Neolithic mound topped with trees it beautifully bridges ancient landforms with contemporary sculptural expression. Its creation involved hands-on prototyping with everyday materials, scaled modelling, 3D scanning, and detailed digital optimisation, resulting in a technically demanding yet visually captivating highly polished mirrored finish that invites viewers to see themselves reflected within it and connect more profoundly with nature.
