I’m in the process of cataloging thousands of albums, tapes, CDs, live recordings, and interviews with my father, the late jazz bassist Charlie Haden, from a collection kept for decades by Charlie and his second wife Ruth Cameron. The interview in today’s podcast was produced in 2009 by Australia’s ABC Radio. My dad talks about his family roots, his origins in jazz, his political activism and his belief that music can change people and the world for the better.
