All right, welcome back to the program. Well, you know Darline Graham has given very limited interviews, but sometimes she does answer some questions, just not from this outlet. But she will answer some questions on occasion. Jackson Gosnell is a political commentator, and he got a chance to ask Darline Graham a question. I want you to listen to what Jackson asked her, and then listen to her answer. Here's Jackson Gosnell. Jackson Gosnell: Senator, a lot of the talk show hosts in the Upstate have been very critical of you, particularly surrounding your friendship with former state lawmaker Katrina Shealy... Charlie James: Wait a minute. Hold on. Were you talking about us? Were you—were you—were you talking about us? Without talking about us, were you talking about us? Because it sounds an awful lot like you were talking about us, because that's exactly who you were talking about. Okay, here's Jackson, we'll start over. Here we go. Jackson Gosnell: Senator, a lot of the talk show hosts in the Upstate have been very critical of you, particularly surrounding your friendship with former state lawmaker Katrina Shealy, and how she is a, you know, somebody who watered down abortion laws and is viewed as kind of a pro-choice person. But yet you're running on the pro-life record. How can people be confident that you are pro-life when you've donated to her campaign, and many people are questioning your ties and associations with her? Darline Graham: The thing that's not being emphasized there is I was in the role leading an agency for service for the blind. She was very outspoken in support of people with disabilities. So my connection with her was through disability issues, not on the pro-life issue, because I am definitely pro-life. Jackson Gosnell: But you two are personal friends? Darline Graham: I know her. I've never been to her house. So, yeah, she's a nice lady. Charlie James: "I know her. I've never been to her house. She's a nice lady." Now, that is what Darline Graham said. But in an interview back in July—July 17th—there was an article. Sarah Luterman published a profile on Darline Graham that included an interview with Katrina Shealy. Listen to what that interview said: "They live close to each other, and Graham will sometimes come over and drink wine with Shealy on her back porch and talk to the donkeys that the former legislator keeps as pets, Shealy said." What?! Wait a minute, hold on! Yeah, I remember that distinctly. Katrina Shealy said, "Yeah man, sure." You know, Katrina Shealy, one of the sister senators—sister soldier senators—that were all about blocking the Heartbeat Bill. Katrina Shealy said, "Oh yeah, man, she comes over. Yeah, man. Oh yeah, man, she comes over! Absolutely!" Oh my goodness! But now, so I want to know! I would love to know, which one is it? Darline Graham: I've never been to her house, so... Charlie James: "I've never been to her house." Well, Katrina Shealy says you have been to her house! Katrina Shealy says you've drunk—and Katrina Shealy said, y'all just—y'all didn't even talk about politics while you were over there at her house. All you talked about—this is Katrina Shealy in that, I believe, New York Post article—"No, we just talked about faith and family. Yeah, that's what we talked about, faith and family." That was it. But now... now Darline Graham... "Oh, oh look Katrina! Here comes a bus! Push!" She just pushed her right in front of the bus! Not even under it. Let's go to Beverly in Fountain Inn. Beverly, welcome. Beverly: Welcome to you! I was just wondering if one of you annoying Upstate radio hosts could not try to contact Miss Katrina Shealy and have her come on air and explain why there's a disparity in these two stories? Because if my friend threw me under the bus like that, I'd sell her out in a heartbeat! Charlie James: Now just think about that, Beverly. You've got a friend that comes over—I don't know if you drink wine, maybe you're just having lemonade— ...
