Full Transcript Charlie James: So, the question keeps coming up, how is Darlene Graham able to be on the ballot with the name Darlene Graham instead of Darlene Graham Nardone? Well, apparently that is acceptable because Duke Buckner is also running in this race, he's on the ballot as Duke Buckner, and his real name's Dwayne. So, take that for what it's worth. Let's go to Alex in Travelers Rest. Alex, welcome. Alex: Hey Charlie, how you doing? Charlie James: I'm good, bud. What's up? Alex: Good, good. I just wanted to call in, I was one of the last-day early voters on Friday around 11:00 AM. I wanted to call in and give you my numbers in the parking lot and the people, the crowd and all. I was—I got my mom and we went down and voted, both of us voted for Ralph Norman. And, uh, we were, uh, collectively 4,245 on Friday morning at 11:00 AM. In the parking lot, there must have been like 30 cars sitting in there, and there was like 10 cars in line for the handicap voting. And, uh, going inside, every poll booth was filled. There was—there wasn't a long wait, but every single, uh, booth was filled. Must have been like 25 in there. This was at the, um, McAlister Plaza place, McAlister Square. And, uh, it was real upbeat in there. I just want to say, just kind of wanted to give you the news and the numbers there. Charlie James: Yeah, I appreciate it, because if I remember correctly, they had what, four rows of six check-in places? Something like that? Alex: Exactly, yes. There were, uh, yeah, there were like, when you first walk in, there were three in front of me, and when I turned to my left, there were three more, or four more to my left, like it was a grocery store aisle. It was really—they really had them packed in there. Charlie James: Yeah, they were. They were. I appreciate it. Yeah, Alex? Alex: I just want to say one quick thing, man. I've been listening to talk radio for about 40 years, and I—I moved down here from Winston, North Carolina about 12 years ago, and I want to say, man, 98.9, every one of the talk show hosts on this station, I mean, I—I've almost done completely without Fox. I used to want to listen to them in the mornings or somebody, but you guys fill a huge void in the news network, and I'm just—I'm just really glad that every one of the personalities from Joey, Tara, uh, you, and, uh, Bill Frady, the whole crew, I mean, you guys are like a 1-2-3 knockout punch, brother. Charlie James: We appreciate it. Thank you so much, Alex. That means the world to me. Thank you. Let's go to Rosetta Stone in Easley. Rosetta, what's up? Rosetta: Hey Charlie, first time caller. Never mind—never mind the New York accent, I am conservative, we are a military family, I love your show, and, uh, I know it's an oxymoron, New York blue state, blue city, and I'm a conservative. But Charlie, with all due respect, I heard your interview with Mark Lynch? Charlie James: Yeah. Rosetta: And—and when he—he mentioned the—the Afghan community, and he mentioned, like you call him Foghorn Leghorn? Charlie James: Yeah. Rosetta: And then, and then you also, and also Graham Cracker. The fact that she's Graham Cracker's sister, I would not vote for her. And experience sometimes is a good thing and sometimes it's a bad thing because people become complacent. I voted in Rock Springs Church in Easley, they ran out of stickers, I was number 476, and I voted for Mark Lynch. Charlie James: There you go. All right, I appreciate it, Rosetta.
