Transcript: Hour 1, Segment 2 Charlie James: We are a nation based on the rule of law. And those laws are kept looked over by our judges here in this country. Ultimately, the Supreme Court. Um, and judges are supposed to rule without fear or favor. Without fear or favor. There was a hearing yesterday on Capitol Hill regarding the security, the increased security for Supreme Court justices. Now, let me ask you something. Why do you think Supreme Court justices need extra security? Why do you think they need more security? Because of conservatives? No. Why would you—no. Not conservatives. Liberals. Liberals are threatening our justices. Now, this is what—oh, they're the ones that call us fascists. They're the ones that call us Nazis. They're the ones that call us authoritarians. No, they're literally the ones that are all of those things. This is what authoritarian regimes do. You threaten judges. Remember Kavanaugh, the guy that showed up outside Kavanaugh's house heavily armed, guns in his car? Remember when they were protesting outside the the the justices' homes? Remember that? Every one of those people, that was a violation of US Code. Every one of them should have gone to jail. Did Merrick Garland throw them in jail? No. Of course not. Why would Merrick Garland do that? Why would he do that? He wouldn't do that. Why would Joe Biden allow that to happen? Well, we know why Joe Biden would have allowed it to happen, because Joe Biden was the guy that tried to get a prosecutor removed in a cra—in Ukraine. Joe Biden (recording): And I had gotten a commitment from Poroshenko and from, uh, Yatsenyuk that they would take action against the state prosecutor, and they didn't. So they said they had—they were walking out to a press conference. I said, "No, I said, I'm not going to—we're not going to give you the billion dollars." They said, "You have no authority. You're not the president. The president said..." I said, "Call him." I said, "I'm telling you, you're not getting the billion dollars." I said, "You're not getting the billion, and I'm going to be leaving here," and I think it was what, six hours? I looked at—I said, "Leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you're not getting the money." Oh, son of a [bleep]. He got fired. Charlie James: Hey, got fired! That's what authoritarian regimes do. That's what they do. They tinker, they tamper with, they threaten the judicial system. Well, Amy Coney Barrett was testifying yesterday in Ca—on Capitol Hill. Let's take a listen to what she said: Amy Coney Barrett (recording): So I thought I would just share a little bit about how the threats have ex—affected me and my family personally. Um, they have required me to, and my my children, to think about and see things that children should not have to see or think about. One example is when threats to my life were particularly intense a few years ago around the time of the Dobbs leak. My security detail sent me home with a bulletproof vest, and I carried it into my house, put it into my bedroom, dropped it down on a table, turned around, and my 12-year-old son was standing in the doorway of my bedroom. And he wanted to know what it was and why I had it, and I didn't know how to respond because maybe I lack imagination, but I didn't expect that performing this service was going to put me in the position of explaining to my children what a bulletproof vest was and why I had to wear one. Um, it's also been reported in the news that roughly six weeks ago, I was the victim of a swatting incident. Um, at at that point, my teenage son, one of my teenage sons, opened the door to go out with friends and saw in our street, it was full of police cars um, who had responded to a false report of gunshots and raised voices in my home. I was very, very grateful that I had Supreme Court police outside my home because they were able to stop and meet with and explain to the county police that it had been a false alarm, and so... ...
