Charlie James: All righty, welcome back to the program. Let's go to Doug in Simpsonville. What's going on, Doug? Doug: Hey Charlie, good talking to you, sir. Charlie James: Hey bud, yes sir. Doug: Uh, what I really want to talk about is, uh, Fauci's testimony tomorrow. But before I get to that, let me say, uh, kudos to you for the idea of renaming the, uh... uh, the act to... you know, the—the SAVE America Act. I—I think it's a really good strategy. I, uh... I dropped a text on Tara one morning, but it was almost 10:00, she probably didn't even read it. I haven't talked to Bill about it or anybody else, but wow, I think that's a very good idea. And I don't know how we get past John Thune, um, but anyway, let me move on. Charlie James: Yeah. Yes sir. Doug: Um, so Fauci is going to be, I—I believe, sworn in... Charlie James: Yes. Doug: ...tomorrow for testimony. Right. Uh, those of us in the know understand that his, uh... his, um, diary was just published, which is astounding for anybody who's been able to read it. Of course, CBS, ABC, all of them are covering... not covering it at all. Charlie James: Right. Doug: But if we could have some moments in this that are truly shocking, uh, interplay between hopefully some serious Republican senators and Fauci... But here's—here's a question: He has been pardoned by, ostens- ... by Joe Biden. I don't think anybody really believes it was Joe Biden who did it, but... Charlie James: Yeah, the auto-pen. Doug: Yes. Um, so if he's been pa- ... been pardoned for everything that happened from 2014 until the point of the pardon, can he still legally claim the right to not answer questions under legal counsel? I think the answer should be no. Charlie James: Ha! Doug: But to me, this is a critical thing for tomorrow. Charlie James: It is a critical thing for tomorrow because remember, if he lies tomorrow, he is still... he could still be charged with perjury. Doug: Well, yes. And the—the other thing is, if he doesn't lie, but we find that other people were, uh, involved including, then there's still the—the possibility of, uh, a—a RICO, a conspiracy... Charlie James: Yeah, yeah. Yeah, you're exactly right. Doug: But—but here's... here's something that I think may lie in the way of tomorrow being effective. Okay. One is that the—the, you know, his—his diary just came out. So, has everybody had chance... have the people that would really want to go after him, have they had the chance, has their staff had the chance to put together his public statements with what he was saying in his diary, and really come at him strong? That's number one. Charlie James: Yes. Yes, they have. Yes, they have. They've—they've done a good job at that. Doug: Well, I hope you're right. But number two may be more difficult: Have we been able to ferret out what he said in those timeframes to the president? Did he... did he mislead the President of the United States? And I hate to say this, but I think that may be difficult for Trump, because Trump was bamboozled by... Charlie James: Well, wait a minute! Dr. ... you—you got to remember, his—his cohort in crime, Dr. Birx, she said they gave the wrong information to Trump. Doug: Yeah. So anyway, I—I'm just, you know, I'm crossing my fingers. But there's a, you know, uh... Obama would call this a teachable moment. Charlie James: Yeah. Doug: We need to exploit it to the max. Charlie James: Absolutely, you're right about that, Doug, I appreciate it. So, but you guys remember, you remember how the press treated Dr. Fauci?
