Charlie James: And that from the RNC midterm convention going on right now in Dallas. Let's go to Chris in Asheville. How you doing, Chris? Chris: Chris, are you there? Charlie James: I'm here. I'm here. Chris: Hey, hey Chris. What's up, man? Charlie James: Well, I just wanted to give you an answer you were looking for. I am uh—I am Native American. My mama was a full blood, and I am half Lakota. And I'm a member of a warrior society. And there is nothing peaceful about my people. They chose peace over death because of the fact that we were fighting each other and killing our own bloodlines. So they chose peace over death over dying. But we would fight in battles with with what they called righteous vengeance. You came after us, and we were coming after you. And the fact of the matter is, if these people look at history in the American Revolution, it was the local militias that went into the woods and were taught guerrilla warfare by the Native Americans, and the British were not used to that because they were like, "What are these guys doing?" So if they want to keep their— Charlie James: "I say, they're hiding behind trees! Oh, dear!" Chris: Yeah, so these people that say that my people—stop, first of all, stop speaking for my people. Second of all, is yes, we are a pe-—we are a people of peace. Look up Fools Society, the Akicita, the Heyoka. They were a warrior society from the 1800s, and I come from the Apaches, which is those without bows, the Sans Arc. We laid our bows down in the name of peace so we would stop killing each other over land that we never owned anyway. Charlie James: So basically, you guys were genociding each other. Chris: Absolutely, sir, yes. Charlie James: Yeah, yeah. Hey, Chris, Chris, I would love to have you on uh, and talk about this further, man. Very fascinating. I appreciate you calling and straightening that out, though. Thank you. Let's go to John in Spartanburg. John, what's up with you, man? John: Hey, Charlie, how you doing? Charlie James: I'm good, bud. What's going on? John: Uh, yeah, talking about what you were talking about earlier about the economy doing good and everything. I'm sure it is, but you know what? I don't feel it at all. You know, I had to take an $8 cut in pay because I had no benefits, wasn't getting no hours. Maybe one day a week. I'm like, heck with that, so I went and took an $8 cut. But um, I can't feel no relief at all. Charlie James: Yeah, I know. It's hard. I mean, there there's there's not a whole lot of relief out there right now, and that's that's why I say it's going to be hard for the Republicans to spread that message. I appreciate it, John. Let's go to Chuck in Mills River. Chuck, welcome. Chuck: Hey, man. I just uh wanted to let everybody know out here, if you're headed towards Mills River, I know you got a lot of listeners out here, dude, you know you do uh stay away from Airport Road in North Mills River. There's a horrible accident, apparently uh, and it is it is it's disastrous looking both ways. There's just you're not moving, not doing anything. I live two and a half miles from work, here for my lunch break, took me 30 minutes to get here. So uh 280 and uh 191, otherwise known as Airport Road and uh Brevard Road, is an absolute disaster area. Stay away from it if you can. Uh, other than that, I've got to chime in, man. Ralph Norman on your show said, "Don't vote for me." I heard him say it. I heard him say it: "Don't write me in, we've got to get behind our candidate," whether you like her or not. Now, you know, I don't have a dog in this fight, but I I still I just just like you say, hold your nose, I guess, and vote for her.
